It's easier to come to Montpellier this summer
Place de la Comedie, Montpellier
Low cost company Easyjet will open a second route from Luton airport to the Montpellier Méditerranée airport. This new summer line will be from July 7 to September 19, at the rate of three flights a week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. So now, as well as Gatwick (Easyjet), Stansted (Ryanair), Montpellier serves three London airports. This means it gets easier to take your holiday here in the south of France. And, arriving in July, you will be here for a big festival event in Montpellier.
Radio France and Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon Festival
13 - 31 July 2009
Montpellier extends its walls and gardens to provide the setting for around a hundred concerts with music to capture all moods: operas, symphonic concerts, chamber music, recitals by young soloists, jazz, local concerts, hospital concerts, France-Culture debates- a whole host of events on the daily agenda.
Numerous events take place every day. Whether in the air-conditioned hall of the Corum or in the courtyards and gardens of the city's historic monuments, great music is to be enjoyed by all.
So, if you are taking your holiday in July, then don’t miss this huge musical festival. Visit the Montpellier Tourist Office website for more information, or the Radio France website.
